- He gazed at me blankly and didn't react. He was in worse shape than I thought. I was in a bind. If his Mom saw him like that, all of us could get into trouble: Alcohol and grass with no parents around... Topless, drunk, and stoned bikini-wearing teenagers roaming around... Then I came up with an idea: I'd tell the woman that her son was playing with other guests and asked not to be disturbed. If the game ended within 15 minutes, he'd come to the living room and go with his mother home. But if the game lasted longer, I'd drive him home myself later. In the meantime, I'd sit and chat with her. I told 2 of the partying girls I'd be busy in the next 15 minutes and wished not to be disturbed unless an emergency occurred.
